Because music spoke to me in ways that words couldn't.
What do you LOVE about Deejaying?
Understanding what it takes to make a party/event work, from music, to mood to lighting, all these elements work cohesively to bring forth a terrific event. It's a passion that I thoroughly enjoy.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spending time with my loved ones, sports, studying history, movies, enjoying quality food.
What advice would you give for hosting a great event?
Always make sure your guest are attended, smile and don't sweat the small stuff. Everything will work out in the most natural way. The party is meant to get you away from the stress, it shouldn't be there to cause more. Most importantly have fun!
Bio:
Jerry Flores was born in Mexico City, Mx and has been in love with music since he was about 4 years old. He would walk over to his mother's record player and spend hours playing her extensive disco collection.
When he arrived in Los Angeles after his family moved to the U.S. in 1986, he began listening to several local radio stations including Power 106, Kiss FM, The Beatles and many others, Jerry automatically fell in love with Urban music. From Soul, R & B, Freestyle, Rap, Latin to Rock, it all spoke deeply to his soul.
As he reaches his teenage years, he began purchasing equipment and playing his neighbors backyard events, testing out different sounds and genres to fit the mood
As he progressed in his abilities, he began playing the local club scene in the late 90's and has made appearances all over Hollywood, Los Angeles and Orange county as a resident of several notable clubs, Coconut Teaser, Catch One, King King, Leonardo's and many more.
Today Jerry finds himself with the same intensity and dedication to grow as a DJ and Sound Engineer, he continues to work closely with his peers to always find the most innovative ways to present successful and happening events.
